A Soft, Baby-Led Studio Experience

Meet me in my beautiful Sacramento newborn photography studio located in Downtown Roseville to experience the quiet, baby-led approach that allows your family’s earliest moments to unfold naturally and be preserved with intention.

There is something about those early days that feels both slow and impossibly fast at the same time.

You spend hours simply watching them. The way their fingers curl. The way they settle into your chest. The quiet moments in between feedings and naps that somehow become everything.

And then, before you realize it, that season begins to shift.

Newborn sessions are not about perfection. They are about preserving what is already there. The connection. The tenderness. The way your family is becoming something new.

A Calm, Thoughtful Beginning

One of the most common things I hear from parents is that they feel a little unsure going into a newborn session.

You are adjusting to a new rhythm. You are likely tired. Everything feels new.

My approach is designed to meet you exactly where you are.

The studio is kept warm and quiet. Sessions move slowly, allowing time for feeding, soothing, and simply settling in. There is no pressure for your baby to do anything other than be held, rest, and move naturally.

Safety and comfort are always at the center of everything I do. Your baby is supported, gently guided, and never placed into anything that feels forced or unnatural.

The Way Your Baby Naturally Moves

There is a softness to newborns that does not need to be styled or exaggerated.

Some babies curl in naturally, resting on their tummy with their tiny hands tucked beneath them. Others settle best when wrapped, held close, or simply placed in your arms.

Rather than focusing on posed perfection, I follow your baby’s cues.

A hand wrapped around your finger. A stretch. The weight of them resting into you.

Preparing in a Simple, Meaningful Way

You do not need to overthink your session.

In fact, the most beautiful images often come from the simplest choices.

I guide you through everything ahead of time so that when you arrive, you can simply be present. A well-fed, sleepy baby helps the session unfold more gently, but even when babies are awake, those quiet, alert moments often become some of the most meaningful.

I guide you through all of this ahead of your session so that when you arrive, you can simply be present.

As part of your experience, professional hair and makeup is available to help you feel polished and at ease in front of the camera. The studio wardrobe is thoughtfully curated with soft, neutral pieces that photograph beautifully and flatter a range of body types, allowing everything to feel cohesive without effort. Every detail is designed so you can step into the space, feel taken care of, and focus fully on your connection with your baby.

Including the People Who Matter Most

Your baby is not the only story here.

The way you look at them. The way siblings lean in, curious and gentle. The quiet way your family holds this new space together.

Sometimes it is a simple embrace. Sometimes it is a quiet moment between you and your baby. Sometimes it is the smallest interaction that ends up meaning the most.

These images become part of your family’s story, not just a record of a moment, but a reflection of how it felt.

A Studio Designed for Softness

I photograph most newborn sessions in my Roseville studio, just outside of Sacramento, where everything is intentionally designed to feel calm and minimal.

Natural light is used whenever possible, creating soft shadows and gentle tones that flatter your baby’s features. The space is simple, free from distractions, and focused entirely on connection.

There are no elaborate setups. No unnecessary props.

Just light, texture, and your family.

Why This Season Matters Later

Right now, it may feel like you will remember everything.

The weight of them. The way they fit perfectly into your arms. The quiet.

But this season is fleeting in a way that is hard to fully understand until you are past it.

These images become something you return to. Not just to see what your baby looked like, but to remember what it felt like to be in this beginning.

That is what makes them lasting.

A Gentle Invitation

If you are in this season, or preparing to enter it, I would love to create something meaningful for your family.

Newborn sessions are typically scheduled within the first few weeks after your baby arrives, when everything is still soft and new.

You do not need to have everything figured out.

You just need to show up.
